English Teacher

We are working with a well‑established FE College in Mansfield who are seeking an enthusiastic and committed GCSE English Teacher to join their team on a full‑time temporary basis, starting as soon as possible and continuing until the end of the academic year.

The Role

You will be responsible for delivering GCSE English to FE learners, supporting students to achieve their academic potential through engaging, inclusive, and well‑planned lessons. You will work closely with curriculum and support teams to ensure learners receive the guidance they need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality GCSE English teaching
• Plan and prepare engaging lessons aligned to the curriculum
• Assess, track, and report on learner progress
• Support learners with varying abilities and needs
• Contribute positively to the wider English and FE team

Requirements

• Qualified English Teacher (QTS/QTLS or equivalent preferred)
• Experience teaching GCSE English (FE experience desirable but not essential)
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Passion for supporting learners in a Further Education setting
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
